THE CHALLENGE
The Production Manager is responsible for leading day‑to‑day manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, high‑quality, and on‑time production of TURBINE‑X Energy products. This role oversees production planning, workforce management, materials coordination, quality execution, and continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing floor. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience in industrial manufacturing or engineered‑to‑order environments, with a proven ability to balance schedule, cost, quality, and safety while driving operational excellence.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate production activities to meet customer demand and project timelines.
- Manage and develop production supervisors, leads, and shop-floor teams to drive performance and engagement.
- Ensure adherence to production plans, work instructions, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Monitor key production metrics including output, efficiency, labor utilization, scrap, and rework.
- Identify and resolve production issues, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints.
- Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Maintenance to support efficient builds and on‑time delivery.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on lean manufacturing, productivity, and cost reduction.
- Ensure equipment, tooling, and staffing levels are aligned to production needs.
- Maintain accurate production reporting and communicate status, risks, and opportunities to leadership.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in power generation, turbines, rotating equipment, or energy‑related manufacturing.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher).
- Familiarity with CSA, ISO, or other relevant industry standards.
- Experience supporting cross‑border or global projects.
- 7–10+ years of experience in manufacturing or production management within industrial, energy, or heavy‑equipment environments.
- Proven experience leading production teams in engineered‑to‑order or project‑based manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, labour management, and shop‑floor execution.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations, quality systems, and manufacturing best practices.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and production reporting tools.
PHYSICAL & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
- Understand and comply with the X-Group's safety polices, safe work SOPs, protocols, procedures, and rules.
- PPE is required. Steel-toe boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
- You must be able to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs, climb stairs or ladders, and safely navigate a busy industrial floor.
- A Strong understanding of and commitment to workplace safety is essential.
