WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Maintain full responsibility for the condition, functionality, and appearance of all facilities, including offices, shop areas, restrooms, breakrooms, storage areas, and exterior grounds.
- Ensure facilities remain operational, safe, and free from disruptions that could impact employees or production.
- Take proactive ownership of maintenance needs rather than reacting solely to reported issues.
- Perform hands on electrical maintenance and repair work within qualifications, including: Lighting systems, fixtures, and ballasts, outlets, switches, breakers, and panels, basic wiring and electrical troubleshooting.
- Identify electrical hazards or deficiencies and take immediate corrective action or escalate to licensed professionals.
- Support and monitor outside electrical contractors when work exceeds internal scope.
- Perform a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks, including: Plumbing repairs (leaks, fixtures, drains), drywall patching, painting, and minor carpentry, door, lock, hinge, and hardware repairs, furniture assembly and workspace setup.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility issues as they arise.
- Conduct regular inspections of facility systems, equipment, and structures to identify potential issues.
- Execute preventive maintenance routines to reduce unplanned downtime and costly repairs.
- Monitor wear, damage, and environmental impacts on facility assets.
- Maintain safe working conditions throughout the facility by identifying and correcting hazards.
- Perform all work in accordance with company safety policies and applicable regulations.
- Support HSE initiatives by ensuring facility conditions align with safety and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate and manage external vendors and contractors for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire systems, janitorial, and other specialty services.
- Schedule work, prepare areas, escort vendors onsite, and verify quality and completion of work.
- Serve as the primary facility contact for third‑party service providers.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies in good working order.
- Monitor inventory levels and request materials, parts, and supplies as needed.
- Ensure storage areas remain organized, safe, and compliant.
- Track maintenance activities, preventive work, and repairs completed.
- Communicate facility issues, risks, and improvement opportunities to leadership.
- Provide status updates on critical repairs or safety-related items.
- Support office moves, layout changes, workstation adjustments, and special facility projects.
- Set up and break down equipment or spaces as required for operations or events.
- Assist leadership with facility related improvement initiatives.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- High school diploma or GED required; trade or vocational training preferred
- 5+ years of hands on facilities or building maintenance experience
- Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician License (minimum).
- Must be in good standing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with 120V / 240V electrical systems, including: Branch circuits, receptacles, lighting systems, breaker panels and distribution systems
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and ability to apply it in real-world maintenance scenarios.
- Ability to perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on electrical and general facility systems.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance and inspections in an industrial or commercial environment.
- Ability to read and interpret: Electrical schematics, One-line diagrams, and Equipment manuals.
- Familiarity with lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and general electrical safety standards.
- Strong understanding of facility systems integration, including coordination with mechanical, controls, and building systems.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to respond to on-site issues as needed.
- Demonstrated electrical maintenance and troubleshooting experience in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Experience working independently in a self-directed, single technician role.
- Prior experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or energy environment preferred.
- Master Electrician License (Texas) or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe highly preferred.
- Experience managing or supporting industrial or energy related facilities (generation, data centers, manufacturing, etc.).
- Familiarity with: Backup power systems (generators, ATS), and low-voltage control systems and building automation.
- Experience overseeing contractors, permitting, and inspections with local AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction).
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification highly preferred.
- Experience implementing or maintaining preventive maintenance programs (CMMS systems).
- Basic knowledge of PLC or control systems troubleshooting.
- Prior role as a facility manager, maintenance supervisor, or lead technician.
- Strong documentation discipline (inspection logs, compliance records, repair tracking).

PHYSICAL & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
- Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to X-Group safety policies and SOPs.
- PPE: Ability to wear required gear (steel-toe boots, safety glasses, hearing protection).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs/ladders, and navigate an active industrial shop floor.
