THE CHALLENGE
The Project Manager is responsible for leading project execution across TURBINE-X’s turbine and reciprocating engine packaging operations. This role coordinates Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working closely with production teams, solving problems, and keeping complex projects moving from planning through completion.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Project Management
- Plan and execute cross-functional projects, including manufacturing programs, station setups, process improvements, and new product introductions.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, timelines, budgets, milestones, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with Engineering to develop project budgets and technical requirements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to keep projects moving according to plan.
- Lead daily and weekly project meetings and maintain visibility of priorities, actions, risks, and upcoming milestones.
- Identify schedule, budget, and execution risks and work with project teams to develop recovery plans.
- Provide regular project updates and performance reporting to leadership.
Production Support
- Support daily project execution across internal and third-party manufacturing facilities producing turbine and reciprocating engine packages.
- Work closely with Operations to monitor production progress against project schedules and priorities.
- Participate in daily production meetings and support accountability through established KPIs.
- Help ensure production targets, quality requirements, and safety expectations are clearly communicated and tracked.
- Develop manpower plans and support Operations with resource scheduling based on project requirements.
- Help resolve manufacturing issues that could affect project schedule, cost, quality, or delivery.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other project stakeholders.
- Coordinate project requirements, priorities, timelines, and changes across functional teams.
- Work with external vendors and third-party manufacturing partners to support project execution.
- Monitor project dependencies and escalate issues that could impact key milestones or customer commitments.
- Maintain clear communication between project teams and leadership throughout execution.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Apply Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to improve project and production efficiency.
- Support station setups, process improvements, and new product introductions.
- Lead or support root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow, scheduling, resource utilization, and project execution.
- Capture lessons learned and apply improvements to future projects.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- Seven to ten years of experience within manufacturing operations, with five or more years in project or production management.
- Experience managing projects within industrial manufacturing or engineered equipment environments.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera, or comparable scheduling tools.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical assembly and instrumentation.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Experience with production planning, workflow optimization, resource planning, and vendor coordination.

- Ability to work effectively across Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and external partners.

- Experience presenting project metrics and operational updates to senior leadership.
- Hands-on, collaborative approach to project execution and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
- OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification.
- Experience with turbine generator sets, reciprocating engine packages, or similar power generation equipment.
- Experience with Waukesha engines or Baker Hughes NovaLT16 turbines is considered an asset.
Key Performance Indicators
- Weekly Throughput: Adherence to baseline production schedules in partnership with Operations.
- Labor Efficiency: Actual versus planned labor hours per unit in partnership with Operations.
- On-Time Delivery: Percentage of production orders completed according to schedule.
- Project Completion: Percentage of projects delivered on time and within scope.
- Budget Adherence: Variance between planned and actual project costs.
- Milestone Achievement: Timely completion of key project phases and deliverables.
- Stakeholder Satisfaction: Effective communication, coordination, and execution across cross-functional teams.
PHYSICAL & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
- Follow all TURBINE-X Energy Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and training requirements.
- Maintain a regular presence within manufacturing and production environments as required.
- Wear required personal protective equipment when entering manufacturing, testing, warehouse, or operational areas.
- Participate in required safety orientations and training.
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents, injuries, and hazards in accordance with company procedures.
- Ability to travel to third-party manufacturing facilities, suppliers, project sites, and other TURBINE-X locations as required.
